Commentary by Attorney Michael Grossman

While nothing can be confirmed right now, the investigators said they believe inattention was a factor in the crash. But what makes them think that? Sadly, the victim can’t tell their side of the story, so were there witnesses who somehow noticed this? Do they have evidence they didn’t discuss in their public statements? My concern is that sometimes an investigating officer only talks about what their gut instinct is telling them rather than letting the evidence speak for itself. Hopefully those in charge of this accident were more prudent than that.
