Traffic conditions had reportedly come to a halt in that area. Officials indicate that, for reasons yet to be confirmed, a southbound Nissan Rogue SUV failed to appropriately control its speed for traffic conditions; this led to a collision between the front-end of the Nissan and the rear-end of the Mustang. This caused the Mustang to be pushed forward, leading to a secondary collision between the Mustang and a Tesla.

Carlock incurred suspected severe injuries as a result of the wreck; he was transported to a local medical facility by EMS in order to receive necessary treatment. No other injuries have been reported. Additional details pertaining to this incident are not available at this point in time. The investigation is currently ongoing.
