How Did This Accident Occur?
This seems like a relatively straight-forward accident, but if authorities confirm the driver was intoxicated at the time of the crash, there is another question that investigators must answer: Where had she been drinking before the accident?
It’s one thing if she had been drinking at home, but if she had been drinking at a bar or restaurant, that alcohol provider could share responsibility under Texas law for any injuries she caused after getting behind the wheel if she was served while she was obviously intoxicated. I don’t know if that is what happened in this instance, but it’s worth looking into to identify everyone who may be accountable for this crash.
