Dawson County, TX — March 19, 2023, Luis Alonso Ramirez was injured in a single-vehicle accident around 7:38 a.m. on Hwy. 137 in Dawson County.
According to authorities, Mr. Ramirez was traveling northbound in a Chevy Silverado when the pickup truck somehow veered off the road toward the passenger side.
The truck then reportedly caught on the roadside dirt, reentered the highway, began to rotate counterclockwise, skidded sideways across the road, exited the highway on the opposite side as before, and overturned. The Silverado reportedly came to a rest facing south, right side up.
The victim was airlifted to a hospital with purportedly serious injuries.
At this time authorities have not released what factors led up to the accident.
