Anytime I see a disparity of injuries like this, it stands out to me. There is a bit of a size disparity between the vehicles mentioned here, but modern car safety should generally ensure that two people in different vehicles will be as protected as reasonably possible in a collision. So when one person is seriously hurt while the other is apparently uninjured, it raises the question of whether the situation was just unfortunate for the injured person or if something that should have protected the victim failed to do so. I wonder if authorities have taken the time to include that in their investigations here.
