Accident Report

November 10, 2025, Kim Bonetti was killed as the result of a work accident that happened along Farm-to-Market 1405.

Authorities said that the accident occurred off the corner of FM 1405 and Grand Parkway at 6115 FM 1405. That’s the address for the Home Depot Distribution Center.

Right now, exact details are unclear. The online OSHA statement on the incident say 59-year-old Kim Bonetti was doing security and patrol work at the time. For reasons unclear, Kim Bonetti lost her life. OSHA did not specify what led to the fatal injuries.

At this time, OSHA lists no recommended penalties or citations. Investigations are ongoing.

How Did This Accident Occur?

Without any clear evidence, I certainly don’t want to speculate. Having gone over literally hundreds of OSHA investigations in my career, I’ve seen them look into anything from vehicle accidents to medical emergencies to fights and shootings to structure collapses to defective equipment. My hope is always that OSHA is open with the families as they learn more.

However, one of the reasons I’ve looked over so many OSHA investigations is precisely because workers’ loved ones often feel they’re not getting the answers they deserve. That’s especially troublesome when Texas has the most complex work fatality laws in the whole country. There isn’t always an automatic process to get a worker’s family the help they need, which means they need to have clear evidence working to tell their side of the story and to get to fair and just resolution.

So, if OSHA is only getting this woman’s loved ones the same amount of information they have in their preliminary public reports—which is to say almost no information at all—that’s a far cry from what I believe is satisfactory. It would be good, though, to learn that they’ve been more helpful behind the scenes. However, I wouldn’t ever take that for granted.

If anyone has helpful context they think I should know, please share it in the comments.
