Victoria, TX — July 1, 2023, Johnathan Wayne Vesely was killed following a single-vehicle accident at 9:27 p.m. along F.M. 237.
According to officials with the Texas Department of Public Safety, the crash took place along the highway approximately 20 miles outside of Victoria.
In their initial statements, DPS troopers said that 32-year-old Johnathan Wayne Vesely was in a Dodge Ram pickup traveling around a curve. While doing so, the pickup somehow ended up drifting off the side of the road. There, the pickup went into a skid before then overturning repeatedly.
Vesely was ejected from the vehicle, resulting in fatal injuries. It appears no one else was involved in the crash. Right now, authorities have yet to officially determine a cause for the accident. Investigations are ongoing.
