Lake Worth, TX — March 27, 2023, John Truet Coburn was injured as the result of a car accident which happened at 1:23 p.m. along Lake Worth Boulevard.
Investigators said in preliminary statements that the crash took place in the area of the Lake Worth Boulevard (Highway 199) and Azle Avenue intersection.
According to officials, 76-year-old John Truet Coburn was in a Chevy Trailblazer that was going westbound along Lake Worth. Coburn reportedly stopped the vehicle at the intersection, but a pickup pulling a trailer reportedly failed to slow down, crashing into the back of Coburn’s vehicle.
As a result of the collision, Coburn sustained injuries which appeared to be incapacitating. No other injuries were confirmed in statements from authorities. There has also been no mention of any pending charges or citations. No further information can be confirmed at this time pending more thorough investigations.
