Upton County, TX — November 21, 2024, Jacob Campos was killed and Fernando Bosquez and Angel Banuelos were injured in a car accident about 7:45 a.m. on U.S. Highway 385.
Witnesses told investigators that two pickups crashed near McCarney when one was attempting to pass the other, according to authorities.
Three people were injured in the collision.
Jacob Campos, 24, was the passenger in a 2016 Ford F-150 driven by Fernando Bosquez, 24. Jacob Campos was pronounced dead at a local hospital, authorities said, while Fernando Bosquez was taken in serious condition to an Odessa hospital.
Angel Banuelos, 32, was transported to the Odessa hospital in stable condition. Angel Banuelos was driving a 2024 Ram 2500 at the time of the crash, according to authorities.
No further information about the crash has been released at this time.
