Anderson County, TX — December 2, 2023, Hunter Self was injured in a car accident at approximately 2:00 in the morning along S.H. 294.
According to reports, 23-year-old Hunter Self was traveling in a westbound Dodge Caliber on State Highway 294 a little more than half a mile west of the County Road 2117 intersection when the accident took place.
For reasons yet to be confirmed, the Dodge was unable to safely maintain its lane of travel. It allegedly veered to the right and off of the roadway before being overcorrected, crossing both lanes of traffic, exiting the road again, entering a ditch and going down an embankment where it came to rest on the passengers side after striking a tree. Self reportedly sustained suspected severe injuries as a result of the crash; she was transported to a local medical facility by emergency medical services in order to receive treatment.
The cause of the accident is under active investigation by local authorities. The weather and road conditions in the area at the time were reportedly clear and dry. There are not currently any additional details available pertaining to this incident.
