San Angelo, TX — June 18, 2023, a driver was injured following an alleged intoxicated driving accident along Van Zandt Street.
Investigators said that the incident occurred in the area of the Van Zandt Street and South Bell Street intersection.
The crash involved a pickup being driven by a woman and a Dodge Durango driven by a 30-year-old man. It appears a collision occurred between the two vehicles, and the woman in the first pickup sustained significant injuries. She was transported to a Lubbock hospital. The other driver was allegedly found to have been intoxicated due to alcohol.
In current reports, authorities allege the suspected driver of the Durango registered a BAC of approximately .155 following transport to jail. He has since bonded out. It appears there is a pending charge at this time for intoxication assault causing serious bodily injury. No further information can be confirmed at this time.
