Wichita Falls, TX — July 20, 2023, Hector Alexio Becerra was injured as the result of a car accident at around 10:51 p.m. along Interstate 44.
Officials said in their statements that the accident happened inn the area of the Central Freeway and Merry Lane.
According to authorities, 32-year-old Hector Alexio Becerra was in a Ford passenger vehicle reportedly going northbound on the main lanes of I-44. While doing so, the vehicle ended up drifting off the right side of the road. There, it crashed into a sign before overturning across the median onto the access road.
As a result of the accident, Becerra had injuries described as incapacitating. There did not appear to be anyone else involved in the accident. Right now, an exact cause for the crash cannot be confirmed pending investigations.
