Fort Worth, TX — July 16, 2023, Filberto Escobedo Herrera was killed following a car accident at around 5:00 p.m. along Alliance Gateway Freeway.
According to initial details released by Fort Worth and Tarrant County officials, the incident took place near the intersection of Alliance Gateway (Highway 170) and Park Vista Boulevard.
Details at this time suggest that 32-year-old Filberto Escobedo Herrera was involved in a multi-vehicle crash at the intersection. The exact circumstances are unclear right now, as authorities say only that a vehicle running a red light caused another one to strike a third vehicle.
Due to these events, Escobedo Herrera succumbed to fatal injuries. Three other people were taken from the scene with unspecified injuries. One of those victims is apparently a minor. Currently, it’s unclear which vehicle Escobedo Herrera was in, and there are no charges or citations reported as investigations continue.
