Denton, TX — September 29, 2024, Elbert Johnson III was injured following a motorcycle accident at around 4:50 P.M. on E. Sherman Dr.
An investigation is underway into a car accident that left one person injured during the evening hours of September 29th. According to official reports, Johnson was travelling on a motorcycle on E. Sherman Dr. in the East lanes, at the Bell Ave. intersection, when a Honda coming from the east on Sherman failed to yield the right-of-way when turning left onto Bell.
This caused Johnson to strike the Honda and as a result of the impact, both vehicles sustained significant damage. When first responders arrived on the scene, they found that Johnson had sustained serious injuries and transported him to the hospital. At this time there has been no further information released about the accident, including the status of Johnson’s injuries and whether any charges or citations will be filed.
