I can’t help but wonder if the authorities ever managed to track down the driver who left the scene. If not, keeping these details in the public eye could be crucial to seeing someone held accountable. Someone out there could have that crucial piece of information authorities need, and they just need to be able to connect the dots. I’ve unfortunately seen too many situations where authorities dropped the ball, and it was only through the determination of victims and their loved ones that ultimately brought the truth to light. Hopefully authorities handling this accident didn’t pass the buck like that.
