Wichita County, TX — June 28, 2023, David Ballard was injured due to a single-vehicle motorcycle accident at around 11:00 p.m. along U.S. Highway 287.
Investigators said that the incident took place in the area of U.S. Highway 287 and Harmony Road.
According to officials, 64-year-old David Ballard was on a Harley Davidson that was going northbound along the highway service road. While rounding a curve, it appears that Ballard’s motorcycle somehow lost control and ran off the side of the roadway. The bike traveled off-road where it went into a skid and threw Ballard to the ground.
Ballard sustained injuries which were described as incapacitating. The reports did not mention any other vehicles being involved. The exact cause of the crash cannot be confirmed at this time.
