Sweetwater County, WY — February 14, 2025, multiple fatalities were reported following a multi-truck pile-up accident at around 11:37 a.m. along I-80.
According to initial details about the accident, it happened at the westbound tunnel in Green River.

But as things clear up, it’s important to make sure there are experienced, well-equipped professionals investigating the case of the accident as soon as possible. Whether that’s a dedicate crash investigation department from the authorities or independent investigators on behalf of the victims and families involved, there are no doubt going to be complex details to consider here.
One commercial vehicle is challenging enough. Involving multiple companies, multiple complex machines to inspect, mapping out the scene after all of the damage and emergency response efforts, and otherwise keeping the facts straight is bound to be beyond the scope of a typical crash investigation. If authorities treat it as such, something important will inevitably slip through the cracks.
