Scott County, KS — June 29, 2024, Christian Niemann was injured following a two-truck accident shortly before 12:30 a.m. along U.S. Highway 83.
According to authorities, 33-year-old Christian Niemann was traveling in a southbound Kenworth 18-wheeler behind a Peterbilt 18-wheeler on U.S. 83 in the vicinity of the County Road 270 intersection when the accident took place.
The Peterbilt reportedly abruptly swerved to the right, allegedly entering the shoulder of the highway in order to avoid a collision with another vehicle. The Kenworth also swerved to the right, resulting in a collision between the front-end of the Kenworth and the rear-end of the Peterbilt. Niemann suffered reportedly severe injuries as a result of the wreck; he was transported to a local medical facility by EMS in order to receive necessary treatment.
