Texas County, OK — October 18, 2023, Charles Murdock was killed in a head-on semi-truck accident at around 8:30 p.m. along C.R. 11.
According to reports, 68-year-old Charles Murdock was driving westbound in his Chevy Silverado approximately five miles west of Texhoma. At the same time, a semi-truck hauling a grain trailer was traveling eastbound on the same road.
For reasons which are currently unclear, reports say the semi-truck was traveling left of center, which resulted in a head-on collision with Murdock’s Silverado.
The Silverado reportedly rolled several times before coming to a stop in the ditch on the north side of the road. Murdock was ejected from his vehicle and ended up in the field north of his vehicle and was pronounced dead at the scene. No other injuries are reported in connection with this accident. It is still under investigation and no further details are available at this time.
