Fort Worth, TX — January 6, 2024, Blanca and German Cordova were injured in a truck accident just after 2:00 a.m. along South Freeway.

According to reports, Blanca Cordova and German Cordova—ages 45 and 47, respectively—were traveling in a northbound Nissan Altima along the South Freeway tollway in the vicinity north of Yucca Avenue when the accident took place.

Officials indicate that, for as yet unknown reasons, the Nissan was traveling northbound in the southbound lanes of the tollway. This wrong-way situation resulted in a collision with an oncoming 18-wheeler. The crash caused the Nissan to then lose control, colliding with a cement barrier and continuing north for some distance before spinning out and coming to a stop.

Blanca Cordova and German Cordova both reportedly incurred suspected severe injuries as a result of the accident; they were transported to a local medical facility by emergency medical services in order to receive immediate treatment. There were no other injuries reported.
