Spokane, WA — May 27, 2023, a person on a bicycle was killed as the result of a semi-truck accident along North Wood Road.
Initial details about the fatal truck accident say that the crash happened off the corner of North Wood Road and West Four Mound Road.
According to preliminary statements, a bicyclist was going southbound along North Wood Road. The bicyclist reportedly signaled to make a left turn and did so as a semi-truck, also going northbound, was attempting to pass the cyclist. As a result, the bicycle and the truck collided.
The bicyclist sustained fatal injuries as a result of the collision. No one else appeared to be hurt. Spokane County officials have not released any details about whether or not they’re considering charges or citations. The exact cause of the crash has not been publicly confirmed.
