Madison County, TX — June 3, 2023, Ashley Vogt sustained injuries due to an 18-wheeler accident at around 5:30 a.m. along Interstate 45.
Details provided in the Madisonville Meteor say that the 18-wheeler collision happened at the intersection of I-45 and Highway 75 just outside of town.
According to current information, 33-year-old Ashley Vogt was in a vehicle that was going along the southbound lanes of Highway 75. At the intersection, it appears that an 18-wheeler was going northbound. That 18-wheeler allegedly failed to yield to Vogt’s vehicle, causing the two vehicles to collide with one another.
Vogt was taken from the scene with injuries that were described as “severe”. Vogt continues to recover from those injuries. There were no other injuries reported.
At this time, it’s unclear if any charges or citations have been filed. Authorities have yet to confirm additional details surrounding the 18-wheeler crash. Investigations are ongoing.
