Dallas, TX — December 31, 2025, Dr. Areeb Zamir was killed due to a car accident at around 5:30 a.m. along the northbound lanes of the Central Expressway.
Initial statements from Dallas Police officials say that the accident happened on northbound main lanes of US Highway 75 off the LBJ Freeway interchange.
Right now, details are limited. The incident has been described as a fatal car accident. 37-year-old Areeb Zamir was involved and reportedly found “in the roadway.” Officials pronounced Areeb Zamir deceased.

One of my main concerns about accidents happening over the holidays is whether or not they’re still getting the attention they need now that the holidays are over. Given how busy New Year’s Eve in particular can be, things can easily get lost in the shuffle if no one is paying attention.
This is why it can be important to follow up with authorities early on. If they can show the victim’s loved ones that they’re looking at this from all angles, that can be a significant weight off the family’s shoulders. But if it seems like authorities can’t provide clear answers, it may be necessary to bring in independent investigators to make sure nothing important is slipping through the cracks.
