Commentary by Attorney Michael Grossman

Hopefully authorities were thorough and let the facts speak for themselves. Frankly, with motorcycle wrecks, there’s an inherent concern if investigators jumping to conclusions. People tend to assume all motorcyclists are reckless drivers. They might see details like these and just assume the motorcycle must have been going too fast. That’s possible, but what if the other vehicle cut off the motorcycle? What if that vehicle had broken taillights? What if there were issues with the roadway? What if the motorcycle experienced some kind of mechanical issue? Likely or not, if there’s a possibility, it’s worth considering. Otherwise, there’s no telling what might slip through the cracks. Like I said, I hope authorities looking into this understood that and let the facts, rather than bias, tell the story.
