UPDATE (May 24, 2023): Contrary to initial claims in the news, additional details from authorities suggest that Levi Biggs was not injured in the crash. This and other information can not be confirmed at this time pending further investigations.
Nolan County, TX — April 30, 2023, Alexis Biggs was killed and Levi Biggs was injured due to a truck tractor accident that happened around 2:40 a.m. on I-20.
Preliminary details about the crash provided by the Texas Department of Public Safety indicate that the deadly wreck happened just east of Roscoe. Officials report that 24-year-old Alexis Biggs and 38-year-old Levi Biggs were on a motorcycle traveling eastbound along the interstate.
According to investigators, it was said that a semi-trailer attempted to pass the motorcycle. After passing, police believe the truck may have changed lanes “too soon.” This allegedly resulted in the motorcycle swerving to the shoulder to avoid a collision, but this led to Alexis Biggs falling off the motorcycle.
Due to the incident, Alexis Biggs succumbed to fatal injuries. It was said that Levi Biggs had non-incapacitating injuries following the accident. It’s not entirely clear at this time if there was contact between the two vehicles involved. Police say the reported tractor-trailer left the scene and has not yet been located. Investigations are ongoing.
