Cherokee County, TX — November 5, 2023, one person was injured in a car accident at about 9:15 in the evening along County Road 2409.
According to reports, a 44-year-old man was traveling in a northbound Chevy Suburban on C.R. 2409 a little more than a quarter of a mile south of the C.R. 2411 intersection when the accident occurred.
For reasons yet to be confirmed, the Suburban veered right and off the road before overcorrecting to the left and entering a skid under acceleration. The vehicle then struck a tree on the left side of the road which caused the Suburban to go into a spin. It finally came to a stop facing east on the right hand side of the road. The 44-year-old reportedly incurred severe injuries as a result of the accident; he was transported to a local medical facility by emergency medical services for treatment.
The cause of the accident is still under investigation by local authorities. The weather and road conditions in the area at the time of the incident were reportedly clear and dry. There are not currently any additional details available pertaining to this incident.
