Late Thursday morning, a fatal crash occurred on State Route 360 just south of Mina, Nevada. According to the Nevada Highway Patrol, a 2021 Kenworth semi-truck pulling a refrigerated box trailer was traveling northbound behind a Chevrolet Tahoe with hazard lights activated. As the semi reportedly attempted to pass the slower-moving Tahoe by entering the southbound lane, the Tahoe began a left turn onto a dirt road. The semi struck the rear driver’s side of the Tahoe, sending it spinning. The crash resulted in the death of the 86-year-old passenger in the SUV and serious injuries to the driver. The semi-truck driver was uninjured and, according to reports, later booked into the Mineral County jail.
