Arlington, TX — February 20, 2024, Yvonne Denise Spain and one other person were injured in a car accident shortly before 11:30 a.m. along Park Springs Blvd.
According to authorities, an 18-year-old woman was traveling in a eastbound Dodge Charger on Shady Valley Drive at the Park Springs Boulevard intersection when the accident occurred.

Officials indicate that, for unknown reasons, the Charger failed to stop at the stop sign, entering the intersection at an unsafe time. This resulted in a collision between the front-end of the Charger and the back right side of a southbound Nissan Pathfinder occupied by 62-year-old Yvonne Denise Spain. The Dodge came to a stop facing southeast on the southeast corner of the intersection and partially blocking the outside northbound lane of Park Springs Boulevard. The Nissan came to rest facing southwest in the inside lane of Parke Springs Boulevard with its front end partially in the center median.
Spain incurred suspected severe injuries as a result of the accident, while the woman from the Dodge Charger sustained apparently moderate injuries. They were each transported to local medical facilities by emergency medical services in order to receive necessary treatment.
Additional details pertaining to this incident are not available at this point in time. The investigation is currently ongoing.
