Commentary by Attorney Michael Grossman
My hope is that authorities were thorough here in getting to the bottom of what happened. Car accidents are rarely as simple as folks may think. They can involve complex mechanical defects that require specialized training. They can involve chaotic crash scenes that officers need certain tools to investigate to make sure nothing slips through the cracks. There can be outside parties involved, like if, for example, a bar over-serves a drunk driver and it leads to a crash, or if a design or maintenance flaw led to the crash. All in all, someone lost their life here. Their loved ones deserve to know they’re getting the whole story.
