Sapulpa, OK — February 1, 2024, a Tulsa man was fatally injured due to a semi-truck accident late Thursday on Highway 66.
Details from authorities say the crash happened between Sapulpa and Tulsa in the area of West 65th Street, just off the Turnpike.

According to officials, a Tulsa man, believed to be in his 50s, was in a pickup said to be going northbound along the highway. Up ahead, authorities reported that a semi-truck pulling a flatbed trailer was attempting to back out of a parking lot onto the highway. The pickup crashed into the trailer as it backed up.
Due to the collision, the pickup driver sustained fatal injuries. No other injuries were reported. Right now, authorities have brought up lack of lighting as a possible factor in the accident, however it’s unclear if they’re considering possible charges or citations in relation to the truck driver. The accident is still under investigation.
