St. Petersburg, FL — January 28, 2024, two people were injured in a truck accident at about 6:00 in the morning along I.H. 375.
According to authorities, two men ages 18 and 28 were traveling in a Toyota Yaris along I.H. 375 attempting to merge onto I.H. 275 when the accident took place.
Officials indicate that the Toyota was traveling at speeds deemed unsafe when wet road conditions are taken into account. The vehicle reportedly lost control, veering off of the roadway and into a grassy median before entering the northbound lanes of I-275 where it collided with an 18-wheeler. Both of the men from the Toyota incurred suspected severe injuries as a result of the crash. No other injuries have been reported.
