Pittsford, NY — March 14, 2024, five people were injured in a truck accident that occurred shortly before 8:30 a.m. along Interstate Highway 90.

According to authorities, an 18-wheeler with a trailer in tow was traveling on Interstate Highway 90 in the vicinity of Pittsford Mendon Center Road bridge when the accident took place.

Officials indicate that, for as yet unknown reasons, the 18-wheeler was involved in a side-swipe collision with another vehicle. Following this collision, the 18-wheeler reportedly overturned, partially going over the side of a bridge. Three adults and an infant from the passenger vehicle involved in the accident incurred apparently minor injuries. The driver of the 18-wheeler also sustained injuries of unknown severity. All five of the victims were transported to local medical facilities by EMS in order to receive necessary treatment.
