How Did This Accident Occur?

A citation is just the start of an accident investigation, not the end of one. Police on the scene thought the driver the Jeep caused this crash by failing to yield, but what if they got it wrong? That doesn’t happen often, but it still a possibility. Authorities should not proceed on assumptions, just like anyone else who reads about this crash.

Investigators should confirm, or refute, officers’ initial impressions as they break down data from the scene, data from the vehicles and any available traffic or security camera footage. The facts that arise from that probe will help determine how this accident unfolded.
