How Did This Accident Occur?

Most people are too ready to point the finger at the truck driver, settling on “driver error” as the cause before the investigation is even complete. However, I hesitate to do that. We won’t know what really caused this accident until after the investigation publicizes their findings. After all, any number of things could have gone wrong that made the truck veer into oncoming traffic.

Feel free to leave a comment letting me know whether or not this is to far out of left-field, but what if there was a steering malfunction at a critical moment? It’s also possible that the truck suffered tire failure. Was the truck’s load balanced and secured correctly, or did it shift and cause the lane deviation?

The answers to all these questions can be unearthed with thorough investigation. I hope the authorities who are in charge take the time and put in the effort to get an in-depth vehicle inspection done. That way these things can either be ruled out or brought to light. If they fail to cover all those bases, however, a third party investigation is always an option.

After all, the people who were affected by this accident—the loved ones left behind by the victim—deserve have real answers that are backed by solid evidence, not flimsy excuses that heap unmerited blame on the shoulders of the deceased.
