How Did This Accident Occur?
Authorities likely are focused on finding the unknown vehicle at this time by seeking witnesses and available video of the accident, but they still have to figure why this crash happened?
Was the other driver distracted, fatigued or impaired? Did that vehicle veer into the shoulder because there was something in the road? Did the vehicle have a problem with its steering mechanism? It’s important that investigations are broad enough to rule out many possibilities yet deep enough to ensure evidence is secured and brought to the victims and families affected by the crash.
One of the most common problems I talk about with people is assuming that a thorough accident reconstruction is automatic. The reality is it’s best to follow up with authorities as early and as often as possible to see if the investigations are being treated as a high priority. Regardless of what happened here, the victim’s loved ones deserve clear answers.
Did anyone pass by the accident scene and see something authorities haven’t mentioned yet? Let me know in the comments.
