Commentary by Attorney Michael Grossman
Regardless of what happened here, one of the most important things one can do after a single-vehicle wreck is to ensure that authorities gave the crash the attention it deserved. With rollover accidents, I’m always shocked how many crucial details authorities can overlook.
For example, I can’t remember the last time I handled a rollover car accident case where authorities inspected the vehicle for defects. Likely or not, any proper accident reconstruction should include a vehicle inspection. It’s frustrating how often that requires efforts from independent investigators long after police have already moved on.
Maybe an inspection here wouldn’t reveal anything unusual, but the point is victims and families at least deserve to know their crash has been taken seriously.
