At this time, exact circumstances remain unconfirmed. Typically, a single-vehicle wreck like this is more likely to happen late at night or early in the morning. That’s when things like fatigue and alcohol are more common. Those are always important to consider, and there could even be extenuating circumstances authorities tend to overlook. But this crash happening in the middle of the afternoon raises some concerns that something less typical may have caused the crash.
Did a tire blowout? Did the brakes fail? Were there mechanical issues with the vehicle? Is there an issue with the road itself? Likely or not, investigators need to be able to consider all possible factors, even if it’s just to rule them out. If nothing else, the victim’s loved ones deserve some answers.
