Accident Report

March 23, 2026, Darrel White was killed and Shauna Adock and three children were injured in a car accident Monday afternoon on TX-91.

According to initial details about the accident, it happened in the area of Farm-to-Market 1310 at the Denison Dam.

It appears that 71-year-old Darrel White was in a Honda Accord going southbound on the highway north of town. 35-year-old Shauna Adcock and three minors were in a northbound Jeep. Authorities say the Honda somehow entered northbound lanes, and the vehicles collided.

Due to the crash, Darrel White was killed. Shauna Adcock and the three children in the Jeep were injured. One of the kids had to be flown to a Dallas hospital.

Right now, the cause of the crash remains unconfirmed.

How Did This Accident Occur?

People often assume that a vehicle leaving its lane like this means that driver did something wrong. That’s obviously possible and worth investigation. But that sort of thing is a lot more common late at night or early in the morning when things like fatigue and alcohol are likely. This happening in the afternoon makes me wonder if something unusual or unavoidable occurred.

Did a tire blowout? Did the Honda hit something in the road? Have authorities inspected the vehicle for defects? Was there a medical emergency? These are the kinds of things I’d expect to see from thorough accident reconstructions, but authorities rarely go that far in their initial investigations. If they don’t continue to dig beneath the surface, my concern is they might overlook something important and either come to an incomplete conclusion or simply a wrong one.

Families affected by a crash like this deserve answers, and that means gathering and preserving as much evidence as possible. Whether authorities do it or independent professionals, it’s best done early on while evidence is still intact.
