While the cause of the crash is unconfirmed, authorities reported they were investigating alcohol as a possible factor. That could be standard procedure, given how common alcohol is in early morning wrecks. However, if it was a factor, that could make this a lot more complex a situation than folks may realize.
This is because that could mean someone was unlawfully over-served by an alcohol provider, and that provider could be responsible for the injuries resulting from that intoxication. Is that something authorities have looked into here? Frankly, my experience has shown me authorities are generally more focused on finding someone to blame than they are getting answers and seeing folks get the help they need. It wouldn’t be unusual if this accident needed more thorough independent investigations.
