How Did This Accident Occur?

From what’s been reported so far, it is not clear which vehicle caused this accident, but it likely happened because one of them moved into oncoming traffic. But which one? And, why? That is what authorities must figure out as they attempt to reconstruct this accident.

Maybe another vehicle forced the car or the truck out of its lane. Maybe one of the drivers was distracted. Maybe the car or the truck had an issue with its steering mechanism.

Investigators should be able to sort out what happened by reviewing evidence from the scene, witness statements, data from the vehicles, cell phone records from each driver and any available video of the crash. An outside expert may be needed if authorities suspect a vehicle defect contributed to the crash.
