Brazoria County, TX — May 28, 2024, Quang Thanh Truc Nguyen was injured in a car accident just before 10:45 a.m. along Farm to Market 1462.
According to authorities, 24-year-old Quang Thanh Truc Nguyen was traveling in a southbound Toyota Rav4 on State Highway 35 at the F.M. 1462 intersection when the accident took place.
The Toyota reportedly had a green light as it entered the intersection. Officials indicate that, for as yet unknown reasons, an eastbound Honda Accord on F.M. 1462 failed to stop for the red light indicated by the traffic signal, entering the intersection at an apparently unsafe time. This resulted in a collision between the front-end of the Toyota and the left side of Honda.
Nguyen suffered reportedly severe injuries as a result of the wreck. She was transported to a local medical facility by EMS in order to receive necessary treatment. No other injuries have been reported. Additional details pertaining to this incident are not available at this point in time. The investigation is currently ongoing.
