How Did This Accident Occur?
When folks see an accident involving a pedestrian on the interstate, they tend to see things as open-and-shut. This sort of thing usually involves someone who was crossing in a place where they shouldn’t have been. Maybe that happened here, but it’s important investigators focus on the evidence and consider all possibilities.
For all we know, there was some kind of emergency going on, and the pedestrian wasn’t intentionally doing anything to contribute to the accident. If nothing else, keeping the door open for these sorts of possibilities, in my experience, helps to ensure victims’ loved ones get the most information possible. This alone can be important after a fatal accident, even if closure is the only real outcome.
If anyone passed through this area around the time of the accident, did you notice anything unusual? Let me know in the comments.
