Hood County, TX — November 4, 2023, Paulette Dunson, David Dunson, and another were injured after an alleged drunk driver accident at 8:20 a.m. along U.S. 377.
Authorities released information which says the crash happened in the area of U.S. Highway 377 and Knox Road.
According to officials, Paulette Dunson and David Dunson, both 53 at the time, according to reports, were in a Jeep Wrangler going westbound on U.S. 377. The Jeep was apparently in the process of making a left turn onto Knox Road when a Dodge Ram reportedly attempted to pass the Jeep on the left, crashing into the Jeep. This forced both vehicles off-road.
Paulette Dunson, David Dunson, and the driver of the pickup all reportedly had serious injuries due to the collision. The driver of the Dodge was allegedly under the influence of alcohol at the time, and information suggests that driver’s blood-alcohol content was over three times the legal limit. There was a recommendation for that driver to be charged for intoxication assault, but further information cannot be confirmed at this time.
