Houston, TX — January 29, 2024, Patricia Martin was killed in a pedestrian versus car accident at approximately 12:30 p.m. along Milam Street.
According to authorities, 64-year-old Patricia Martin was crossing Milam Street at the Walker Street intersection when the accident took place.
Officials indicate that a westbound Chevy Silverado pickup truck on Walker Street attempted a left turn onto southbound Milam at an unsafe time, failing to yield the right of way to the pedestrian in the crosswalk. The pickup truck struck Martin, as a result. She incurred reportedly critical injuries due to the incident and was transported to a local medical facility by EMS in order to receive immediate treatment. However, she was ultimately unable to overcome her injuries, having there been declared deceased.
