San Antonio, TX — April 23, 2026, one person was killed and another was injured in a truck accident just before 7 p.m. on U.S. Highway 281.

Authorities said a southbound semi-truck was towing another truck when it hit a safety barrier near Stone Oak Parkway and overturned, causing both trucks to catch fire.

One person died in the crash, according to authorities, while another was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries.
