San Diego County, CA — April 18, 2026, a motorcyclist was killed in a truck accident at about 10:15 a.m. on State Route 78 near Ocotillo Wells.
Authorities said a westbound semi-truck veered into coming traffic and collided with a motorcycle before leaving the road and crashing into a rock.
The motorcyclist, whose name has not been made public yet, was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash, according to authorities.
The truck driver suffered minor injuries, authorities said.
