Houston, TX — December 17, 2023, Martin Arroyo Jr. was killed due to an alleged hit-and-run accident at around 2:45 p.m. along Airline Drive.
Harris County officials released preliminary details about the crash which happened at the intersection of Airline Drive and East Canino Road.
According to investigators, 40-year-old Martin Arroyo Jr. was the driver of a Hyundai Sonata which was going eastbound on Canino Road. At Airline, police say that a southbound Dodge Ram ran a red light and crashed into Arroyo’s Sonata. A chain reaction then occurred with the Dodge hitting multiple other vehicles.
Due to the crash, Arroyo sustained fatal injuries. There were no other reported injuries. Authorities allege that the driver of the Dodge failed to stop and render aid, but they say they’ve identified and are charging that driver. Right now, additional details about the crash are unavailable.
