Blewett Pass, WA — January 8, 2024, Marnie Gonzalez, Roneo Gonzalez, Charlie Megia, and Rhodora Megia were injured in a truck accident on U.S. Highway 97.
According to information released by the Washington State Patrol, the crash occurred at around 1:45 p.m. on U.S. 97 during inclement weather conditions.

Details reported by KPQ’s Chris Hansen identified four occupants of a BMW which was going northbound on the highway. Those occupants were 56-year-old Marnie Gonzalez, 58-year-old Roneo Gonzalez, 64-year-old Charlie Megia, and 64-year-old Rhodora Megia. Other sources at the time of writing did not include these names.
Up ahead, details from state police say a semi-truck had jackknifed, blocking southbound lanes of travel. There, another semi allegedly made an illegal pass around the jackknifed truck. This led to that second semi-truck crashing with the northbound BMW. As a result, Marnie and Roneo Gonzalez and Charlie and Rhodora Megia were taken to a hospital in Wenatchee. Their conditions weren’t specified.
Authorities say they cited the truck driver attempting to pass the jackknifed semi. At this time, no other details are available.
