The driver of 2016 Chevrolet Silverado, 37-year-old Ashley resident Luke Soposki, died in the crash with wife Lynne Soposki, 36, and their infant son, according to authorities.
Three other people were hospitalized with serious injuries, authorities said. It is not clear how there were involved in the crash at this time.
The truck driver was jailed on charges of aggravated vehicular homicide, according to authorities.

How Did This Accident Occur?
Figuring out how this crash happened likely will mean focusing on the truck driver’s actions. Was he fatigued or distracted at the time of this crash? Or did his truck have an issue with its brakes that prevented it from stopping?
The truck’s engine control module will provide investigators about its actions before the crash, while it could be equipped with cameras that show what was happening inside the cab and on the road in front of it.
An independent expert may be needed to conduct a forensic examination of the truck to identify any mechanical issues that may have contributed to the crash, as most law enforcement agencies don’t have the resources for such exams, in my experience. If a mechanical problem led to this crash, that could mean the trucking company or a maintenance provider could share accountability.
