El Paso, TX — February 29, 2024, Lori Pollard was killed in a hit-and-run pedestrian versus car accident shortly before 5:45 a.m. along Spur 601.
According to authorities, 44-year-old Lori Pollard was on foot walking on the right-hand side of East Spur 601 when the accident occurred.
The causal factors that led to the accident are still unclear. Officials indicate that, for unknown reasons, Pollard was struck by a passing vehicle and she came to rest in the roadway. The person(s) in the vehicle that struck her allegedly fled the scene, failing to stop and render aid of any kind to the victim. She was reportedly found by a Border Patrol agent on their morning commute who called emergency personnel to the scene. Pollard had incurred fatal injuries due to the accident and was declared deceased at the scene.
